The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Wafi-Golpu Project was prepared in compliance with the Environment Act 2000 (PNG) and was submitted to the Conservation and Environment Protection Agency of Papua New Guinea on 25 June 2018.

The EIS describes:

  • The different stages and components of the Project

  • The existing social and environmental conditions, including the communities who live in the area of the Project and the natural environment

  • How the Project may affect the environment and nearby communities

  • How the Project plans to avoid, minimise or mitigate any adverse impacts (changes) to the environment and communities
